Mark is a multi-instrumentalist that has performed and recorded on Piano, Trumpet, Classical/Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Pennywhistle, Hammered Dulcimer, and Mountain Dulcimer.

Mark was the first place winner in the 1998 National Hammered Dulcimer Championship in Winfield, Kansas, and is one of America's premier Hammered Dulcimer Soloists and Clinicians.

    Mark has JUST released NEW arrangements of classical music for hammered dulcimer. These pieces are edited specifically for hammered dulcimer by Mark himself. NEW titles include: Nocturne Op.9 no. 2 by F.F. Chopin, Le Coucou by L.C. Daquin (a piece that Mark Wade and David Mahler both played in their Nat'l Contest winning repertoire!), Träumerie [Dreaming] by R. Schumann, and Concerto in D by A. Vivaldi: I. Allegro, II.
